A small lab for working software.

Hill Tech Labs is a software and app development studio for small and mid-size businesses, founded in 2025. We design and build web apps, mobile apps, internal tools, and the integrations between them, and we write everything down along the way.

Why we call it a lab.

A lab runs small experiments, measures what happened, and keeps a notebook. That is how we think software should be made.

Every feature starts as a guess about what will help someone do their work. We make the guess explicit, build the smallest version that tests it, put it in front of real users, and record what we learned. The notebook, meaning the brief, the backlog, the decision log, and the documentation, belongs to you.

The name also carries a reminder about evidence. This website measures itself in front of you: switch on Inspect in the toolbar and you will see real sizes and type, read from the page as you point at it. We would rather show our work than describe it.

What you will not find here.

We are a new studio. You will not find a wall of client logos, testimonials, or award badges on this site, and we will not invent any.

What we can show you is how we work, the standards we hold ourselves to, and a written plan for your project before you commit to building it. If that plan does not convince you, you keep it anyway.

How we work, in six lines.

  1. P-01

    Working software over status reports.

Every two weeks you see something that runs, on a real device or browser, not a slide about progress.

  2. P-02

    Write it down.

Decisions, assumptions, and estimates live in documents you keep, so nothing depends on anyone's memory.

  3. P-03

    Small slices, real users.

Ship the thinnest useful version, watch how it is used, then decide what comes next.

  4. P-04

    Plain language.

If we cannot explain a technical choice without jargon, we have not understood it well enough yet.

  5. P-05

You own what you pay for.

Code, designs, accounts, and documentation are yours, in your name, from the first day.

  6. P-06

    Built to be maintained.

By us, by your own team, or by whoever comes next. Clear code and good notes outlast any one studio.
